How do I import a supermarket order instead of typing it?
Retyping forty items is the reason most households give up on tracking groceries, so OurTab reads the order for you.
Go to Shopping → In Stock and choose Import a supermarket order. The reliable route is Paste the order text: open your order on the supermarket's website, select all, copy, and paste it in. OurTab extracts every product, its quantity and the price actually paid — including loyalty pricing and multibuy offers pooled across lines.
You then get a review list before anything is saved: remove anything you don't want, set the delivery date and time window, and optionally log the whole shop as an expense on the ledger with the total already filled in.
Screenshots also work as a fallback, but long orders take many screenshots and rows get clipped — the paste route is faster and more accurate. Items already in stock are matched up rather than duplicated, so you can top up a partial import safely.
